2008 A Year of Great Change
2008 is going to be a year of great change. This will be for good, better, and yet also worse. Oya is blowing and the landscape of life will begin this beautiful metamorphosis that is change. Do not be confused as change is wonderful. But ugly things can, and do, happen during the process.
For many people life will become grim. Yet remember, this is change, so do not fret over these situations as many people have a great need for a new start. Learn to live with less as the life filled with material clutter will be blown clean this year.
Many have overreached and are looking for Orisa to come to the rescue. This is human. Life is messy and even those living the most simple of lives can’t escape the mess. Use this time to make the necessary adjustments to how you choose to live your life. Do not fear change as it will happen whether you want it to or not. Just balance your life as much as possible.
Families need to pull together and protect every member. Pull people close that you have shunned. The potential for loss is great. Refresh, reconnect, and rejoice with loved ones. If you are alone, now is the time to pair up. As the change tightens its grip you would be wise to have at least one true ally.
It is time to get your health in order. Do not fear or shun Babalu Aye. He is the ultimate healer. Give an ebo of popcorn. The burden of illness is and will be great this year.

This is the year for personal enrichment and personal enlightenment concentrating on personal goals and accomplishments, concentrating on wilderness and nature. Now is the time to start new endeavors such as learning, meditation, and any type of new accomplishments for one’s soul.
With the year being for Osun this is why we will be concentrating on the beauty of nature and all that is natural. Taking your new endeavors out into the wilderness or out by the river will help focus your energy. If you haven’t already received a pot for Osun now would be a good time. It is not required, but it would be nice.
Now is the time to endeavor to keep on path as much as possible because this upcoming year will hold promise as well as pain. If you are off path already or feel this is so, it is probably time for a reading, a legitimate reading, as now is the time that one must come to terms with one’s true path.
Seek the guidance of Oge for he can continue to help guide you along your path and appeal to Esu when you have not been on your true path at all and need the door reopened.
Don’t concentrate so much time and energy on status for that will make no difference this year. Also, bypass all things stuck in tradition for a new wind is blowing in this year.

Truth
Let us not engage the world hurriedly. Let us not grasp at the rope of wealth impatiently. Do not rush to decide that which should be treated with mature judgment. Let us not deal within a state of anger. When we arrive at a cool place, let us rest fully. Let us give continuous attention to the future and let us give deep consideration to the consequences of things. Eventually the time for rest will pass.
Remember, good deeds never go unrewarded, evil deeds never remain unsanctioned. Constant good deeds without visible results may appear as a loss. Be truthful and do good deeds for it is the truthful that the divinities support.
The Plan
All things will work according to the divine plan. All Orisa will assure that Olodumare’s plan is realized. There will always be more than one way to get the plan fulfilled. Remember the task is not always clearly seen by the ones who must walk it. But trust that the choices made will open the path that should be taken. Don’t push! The eager individual must take care to allow for the plan to unfold in the manner that has been determined. Do not fret. Keep stress down and more will be accomplished. The enlightenment that we wish for others will happen with care and in time.

It is time to let the word of Orunmila flow freely to the spiritually hungry souls who beg for freedom to communicate effectively with Ifa. A woman can only communicate with Ifa if she marries a full Baba. More so if such a woman is born by an odu Ifa that would compel a man to become a full Baba. Concentrating on the exclusion of women while the untrained man thrives without caution and are even given free will to preach these biased opinions under the cloak of priesthood is a situation for Obatala.
